I've been a slacker!

I have to admit, I have been struggling with working out the last several weeks. I am back to going to the gym and doing cardio workouts—albeit, less intense than before—but I have been struggling with P90X at home. An advantage to going to the gym is that I have to schedule an appointment with the Playroom for Ellie (who's 2), so I actually have an appointment to go to the gym from 9:00-10:30am every weekday.

I was really sick for a few weeks (yay pregnancy!), so I didn't do much for those few weeks. Then Ellie and I went camping with some of my family for 1 1/2 weeks. Plus, I keep waking up at night (yay pregnancy!), so I am too tired when my P90X alarm goes off in the morning. Excuses, excuses.

I tried doing the Chest & Back workout while Ellie was awake, but she's so distracting during the workout that it is impossible to do the workout. For example, while I was doing push-ups, Ellie stood next to me and placed her hand on my shoulder and every time I went down for a push-up, Ellie enthusiastically said, "Good!" This was SO cute, but it made me laugh so hard that I could only do a few push-ups. Other times she tried to crawl underneath me while I was doing push-ups. Then when I was using the exercise bands for the pull-up exercises, Ellie also needed to take her turn to use them... These are a few reasons why I prefer to do the P90X workouts before Ellie wakes up. :)

'Course, I've done P90X long enough now I bet I could do the routines at the gym and not have to use the DVDs. Maybe I'll start trying to do that instead of waking up early. Most days I feel pretty good now, too. Well, I think that solves it. Thanks!
